Privacy information
How SSL Cafe handles information when you visit the website or get in touch.
This page explains how SSL Cafe handles information when you read our website or contact us. SSL Cafe operates sslcafe.com. You can contact us at info@sslcafe.com.
Visiting the website
SSL Cafe runs on WordPress using GoDaddy Managed WordPress hosting. Delivering a page involves processing technical request information, such as your IP address, the requested address and browser information. Hosting and security systems may keep request and error logs to operate the website, investigate problems and help prevent abuse.
Hosting metrics and security cookies
Our hosting service includes GoDaddy’s Real User Metrics, which measures page loading and connection timings to help assess performance. The host also loads traffic-measurement scripts. GoDaddy explains these features in its Real User Metrics documentation.
Cloudflare provides protection against automated traffic and sets a cookie named __cf_bm. According to Cloudflare’s cookie documentation, this cookie expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity. WordPress also uses cookies for functions such as administrator sign-in. Your browser settings let you review or remove cookies and other site data; restricting them can affect site features.
Contacting SSL Cafe
Messages sent to info@sslcafe.com are forwarded to a Microsoft 365 mailbox used to manage SSL Cafe correspondence. We receive the sender information, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to reply, investigate reported problems and handle editorial corrections. Please do not send passwords, private keys, payment details or other sensitive information.
Search and appearance preferences
Search sends your search terms to the website to find published content. Terms can appear in the request address, browser history and hosting logs, so avoid entering personal or sensitive information.
The appearance control offers System, Light and Dark. When browser storage is available, the website saves your selection locally on your device. You can change it using the appearance control or remove it by clearing this website’s browser data. Choosing System follows your device’s color preference.
WordPress checks whether your browser can display emoji and may save the result in session storage. If additional emoji support is needed, it can load supporting code and images, including images from WordPress.org servers. Those requests share technical connection information with the service delivering them.
Optional features
SSL Cafe has not added a separate visitor-analytics service, advertising integrations, newsletter subscriptions, an on-site contact form or visitor comments. We will update this page when these features are introduced.
Links to other websites
Our articles link to documentation and other external resources. When you follow a link, that website’s privacy practices apply. A reference link is not, by itself, an advertising or affiliate arrangement.
Questions and requests
Contact info@sslcafe.com with a privacy question, including questions about retention, or a request concerning information you have provided. We may need enough information to verify and locate the request.
Changes to this page
We will revise this information when our website, service providers or data-handling practices change.
